Midnight (Korean: 미드나이트; RR: Mideunaiteu) is a 2021 South Korean psychological thriller film, written and directed by Kwon Oh-seung. The film starring Jin Ki-joo, Wi Ha-joon and Kim Hye-yoon, depicts a life-threatening hide-and-seek scenario between a psychopathic killer and a deaf woman.

This film has a beautiful package--gorgeous settings, beautiful stars, astonishing photography--but surprisingly void of content. Suspending disbelief at the plot's central conceit is nigh on impossible, for starters... then, the contrivance of the kidnapping--which plays into many foreigners's worst prejudices and fears about the Arab world ...
Synopsis. Michelle is a middle-aged Hong Kong woman who decides to take a trip to Southern France in order to find some inner resolution about her unhappy marriage. While touring the rainy country with a fairly depressing tour group, she befriends Miki, a quirky young Japanese woman who seems to have some problems of her own.

22 apr 2015 · Definitely a film of two halves, ‘Midnight Fly’ is a brave, uncompromising, yet not always successful Jacob Cheung feature. As the storyline begins the viewer gets the sense of impending doom that eventually takes over; an eerie atmosphere produced from pleasant scenery ever so slightly distorted by skilful direction.
