The Moanalua Valley Trail is a 9-mile round trip hike that begins at the Moanalua Valley Park and takes you deep into the lush rainforests and towering cliffs of the Ko'olau Range. The trail is renowned for its steep ascents, stunning waterfalls, and, of course, the infamous Haiku Stairs, which has earned it the nickname "Stairway to Heaven."
2 mag 2024 · The Moanalua Valley Trail takes you up a steep, strenuous dirt path with ropes and no stairs. It’s not quite the same experience as climbing the stairs from the bottom up, but you can still reach the Stairway To Heaven at the top and go back down in either direction when you’re done.
This trail is really nothing special however at the end of the trail is the start of the Kulana’ahane trail which is amazing!! The Moanalua Valley Trail is mostly flat and ventures through tropical forest but kind of stops in the middle of nothing.
