Maureen Ann "Moe" Tucker (born August 26, 1944) is an American musician and singer-songwriter who was the drummer for the New York City-based rock band the Velvet Underground. After they disbanded in the early 1970s, she left the music industry for a while, though her music career restarted in the 1980s, and continued into the 1990s.
21 dic 1997 · In 1989, MoeJadKateBarry collaborator Jad Fair (of Half Japanese) suggested Tucker field test her new oeuvre by joining him on a European tour. “When Jad called me about the tour, I told him ‘Well . . . see how much I can make ’cause I’m supporting my family and I can’t just go off and play rock n’ roll'”, Tucker explains.
