Mucky Foot wurde im Februar 1997 von Mike Diskett, Fin McGechie und Guy Simmon, drei ehemaligen Spieleentwicklern von Bullfrog Productions, gegründet. In den folgenden Jahren veröffentlichte das Studio Spiele wie Urban Chaos, Startopia und Blade 2 für diverse Plattformen. Im November 2003 wurde das 40 Mann starke Studio geschlossen.

Blade II is a 2002 action beat 'em up video game developed by Mucky Foot Productions and published by Activision for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.Originally scheduled for North American release on the same day as the theatrical release of the 2002 film of the same name (March 22), it was ultimately released on September 3, the same day the film was released on DVD.

Blade II es un videojuego de acción beat 'em up de 2002 desarrollado por Mucky Foot Productions y publicado por Activision para PlayStation 2 y Xbox.Originalmente programado para su estreno en Norteamérica el mismo día que el estreno en cines de la película de 2002 del mismo nombre (22 de marzo), finalmente se estrenó el 3 de septiembre, el mismo día en que se estrenó la película el DVD.
Carr left Bullfrog again in 1998 to join Mucky Foot Productions, who considered him "one of the most talented and experienced artists in the computer games industry". He was the company's managing director. Carr stated that Mucky Foot's Startopia is his favourite game that he had worked on, due to its humour and simulation.
