Welcome to Murray Edwards. And a special welcome to those of you have received offers of places in autumn 2023 from the College. Congratulations! This is an exciting time for you, but I know you will also have lots of questions. I hope this section of our website will answer them, as well as showing you more of what the College offers.
The College has produced outstanding, independent-minded women across different careers. Our alumnae support each other and the young women just starting out in their careers. With its concern for women in the workplace today, and in supporting the development of the outstanding women of tomorrow, the College is a place where people have something to say about the status of women.
The Murray Edwards College MCR committee organises regular social events for students and their friends. These include film nights, games nights, garden parties, BBQs in the summer, and lots more. A programme of events is arranged during the first week of the new academic year to welcome new postgraduates (or freshers) and help them settle in quickly.

The Cambridge Law course is comprehensive and varied, covering foundational topics such as civil, tort, criminal and constitutional law in the first year. Students choose five papers in each of their second and third years of study, across a wide range of topics such as contract law, family law, company law, international law and jurisprudence.
The College is easy to reach by road, with good access from the M11, A14 and A428. If you're using sat-nav, the postcode CB3 0DR/number 61 will bring you straight to the main car park on Storey's Way. The railway station is a 20 minute taxi journey from Murray Edwards College. This could be longer at peak times.

We admit between four and six students a year studying Economics at Murray Edwards, meaning that there are around a dozen undergraduates. Together with another dozen of graduates, they make for a strong, friendly and vibrant community.
