DJ Marcus Nasty began DJing himself in 1998 and launched his first show, Flava, in 1999. However, he decided to create a group featuring other rappers and MCs, believing he could offer more to the music industry. As the group recruited its original members, more and more bookings were being requested globally and their influence grew.
English rapper and actor Kano, 32, is one of the more significant names when it comes to grime music. He joined the Nasty Crew by only briefly, using it to launch his won solo career in 2002, with first solo Boys Love Girls.
Jammer, 35 – full name Jahmek Power – is an English rapper who was a member of grime crew Boy Better Know, as well as Nasty Crew from 2000 to 2003. It’s claimed he left following in-house fighting.
Born 19 January 1980, 38-year-old D Double E – real name Darren Dixon – is a British grime MC from East London. While he was a member of Nasty Crew, in 2004 he helped form Newham Generals, along with Monkstar and Footsie, after a disagreement with other members of Nasty Crew. D Double E and Footsie are the only active members now.
Rapper Footsie followed D Double E’s footsteps, leaving Nasty Crew for the Newham Generals, which he still performs in.
Stormin was one of the most distinctive voices in grime and was an original member of Nasty Crew. He revealed to fans in 2016 that he was battling stage 2 skin cancer, which had spread to his neck.
