The NIDA Theatres, Playhouse is a 155-seat amphitheatre. Smaller than Parade Theatre, this venue is designed for more intimate theatre productions, seminars, presentations and for use as a break-out room for larger events. At the end of December, the NIDA Acting class of 2003 held a 20-year reunion, with alumni flying in from across the globe to attend a weekend celebration in picturesque Patonga on the Central Coast. The cohort is still very close, bonded by the formative experiences as young hopefuls during their time at NIDA.
Round One: Online application and audition video consisting of two monologues. Round Two: Recall audition which will take place in person at applicant’s nearest Australian capital city. Actor stream applicants will be asked to present a third piece, whereas Singing Actor stream applicants will be asked to present a song.
