Housing: In the academic year 2022-2023, the annual rent for a room in a 2-bedroom, shared apartment is $8,824. Literary Outreach Fellowships. The Creative Writing Program is committed to developing innovative literary outreach programs that enable students to teach creative writing in both traditional and non-traditional settings, focusing on underserved and marginalized communities. NYU's outreach initiatives serve as national models in the field.
Writing Sample. A creative writing sample is required. It should not exceed 25 double-spaced pages for fiction and nonfiction applicants and 10 single-spaced pages for poetry applicants. The font size should be 12 point or larger. The Graduate School of Arts and Science reserves the right to change this information at any time.
