    Daddy Yankee was born Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez in Puerto Rico to Rosa Rodríguez and Ramón Ayala, who is black. Daddy Yankee would later refer to his Black heritage during the Black Lives Mattermovement during the widespread recognition of Black solidarity on social media.
