The original members were Roger Spielmann (guitar), Norm Gotsch (guitar), Wayne Pursell (bass), Tom Shiffour (drums), and Jimy Sohns (vocals). In 1965 Joe Kelly (guitar) replaced Pursell. The Shadows of Knight became the house band at The Cellar in Arlington Heights and began packing the club with over 500 teenagers every time they played.

We're being inducted into the California Music Hall of Fame on Sunday, this Sunday, April 14th at the Golden Bears Theater in Temecula, California.
The Shadows of Knight were a hot commodity and quickly joined Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars, touring the United States with The Outsiders, Question Mark And The Mysterians and The Seeds. For a follow-up to "Gloria", the band chose a Bo Diddley song called "Oh, Yeah", which also cracked the U.S. Top 40, peaking at #39 in the Summer of 1966 ...
