Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy is a Canadian television drama series, which aired on CBC from 1998 to 2000. The series, which is set in the 1940s, was based on the memoirs of author and rancher Richmond P. Hobson, Jr. and set on a ranch in rural northern British Columbia.

Fri, Oct 8, 1999. With debts mounting, Rich feels the only short term solution is to do what Nelson has done, which is to work at a nearby logging camp where they pay good wages in cash. Rich is willing to leave to work on the camp despite Gloria's currently broken foot and her concern over his welfare.
The characters of Rich, Gloria and Pan are based on their real-life counterparts and this series is based on the memoirs that Rich himself wrote. The three books are Grass Beyond The Mountains, Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy, and The Rancher Takes a Wife, published in the 1950s.
