Paul Talalay (31 March 1923 – 10 March 2019) was the John Jacob Abel Distinguished Service Professor of Pharmacology and director of the Laboratory for Molecular Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.

Talalay’s research on the cancer-prevention properties of a chemical abundant in broccoli sprouts launched the still-burgeoning field of research into what he dubbed “chemoprotection.”
