Peter Hans Docter (born October 9, 1968) is an American filmmaker and animator. He is the chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios . [2] [3] He is best known for directing the animated feature films Monsters, Inc. (2001), Up (2009), Inside Out (2015), and Soul (2020), and being a key figure and collaborator at Pixar.

Pete Docter is the Oscar®-winning director of "Monsters, Inc.," "Up," and "Inside Out," and Chief Creative Officer at Pixar Animation Studios. He is currently directing Pixar's feature film "Soul" with producer Dana Murray, which is set to release June 19, 2020.
