The main protagonist of the story is introduced here musically with Prokoviev's popular motif, but intoned by Pete Haywood's casual steel guitar and embedded in a driving, funky band track with Percy Jones and Cozy Powell as rhythm section and Gary Moore on guitar.
With Manfred Mann, Brian Eno, and Phil Collins, this is a great updated version of Peter and the Wolf. The narration is no Bowie, but it's fine given how rockin the rest of it is.
