Peter Goodrich is a Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University. He is the managing editor of Law and Literature and serves on the editorial board of Law and Critique. Goodrich politicises law. Through aesthetics and literature, he opens law to other possibilities and expressions of value, justice, and love. He sees the potential for radical, critical legal practices and structures in part because, for him, legal discourse is historical, contingent, and rhetorically organised.
30 apr 2024 · Goodrich’s law veers towards the invisible. Obsessed with images, his concerns are invariably with what cannot be seen. Detectable in his work is always a desire to see the invisible, to capture the articulation of immaterial principle, structure, and imaginal form.
