Peter William Krause (/ ˈ k r aʊ z ə /; born August 12, 1965) [1] is an American actor, director, and producer.
In 2017, he was cast in a leading role on FOX's 9-1-1 (2018), created by Ryan Murphy. He plays an LAFD fire captain Bobby Nash, opposite Angela Bassett. He also serves as an executive producer of the series. Made his Broadway debut playing "Quentin" in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Arthur Miller 's play, "After the Fall".

Peter William Krause was born on August 12, 1965, in Alexandria, Minnesota. Both his parents were teachers, and he has a sister and brother. He was raised in Roseville, Minnesota. He graduated in 1987 from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, with a degree in English literature.
