Peter Orlovsky was an American poet and actor, the long-time partner of Allen Ginsberg. He was a Beat poet who wrote in French, German, and English, and collaborated with Ginsberg on Songs of Innocence and Experience. He died in 2010 from lung cancer at age 76.
