15 apr 2024 · In June 1888, shortly before his death, Sheridan was confirmed as General of the Army. He was fearless in all his endeavors and always had the loyalty of the many men who served under his command. After Sheridan died, his body was returned to Washington and he was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
