Philippine Welser (1527 – 24 April 1580) was the morganatic wife of Ferdinand II, Archduke of Austria. She was granted the titles Baroness of Zinnenburg, Margravine of Burgau, Landgravine of Mellenburg and Countess of Oberhohenberg and Niederhohenberg.

Philippine Welser (* 1527 in Augsburg; † 24. April 1580 auf Schloss Ambras, Innsbruck in Tirol) war eine Augsburger Patriziertochter und die Ehefrau von Erzherzog Ferdinand II. von Habsburg, Landesfürst von Tirol .
Il castello di Ambras, non lontano da Innsbruck, in Tirolo, è uno scrigno di arte nato per una bella storia d’amore, che ha per protagonisti l’arciduca Ferdinando II e Philippine Welser. Secondo tradizione, Ferdinando avrebbe dovuto sposare la discendente di una famiglia aristocratica.
