Pierre Agostini (born July 23, 1941, Tunis, Tunisia) French physicist who was awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics for his experiments with attosecond pulses of light. He shared the prize with French physicist Anne L’Huillier and Hungarian physicist Ferenc Krausz. An attosecond is 10 −18 second, or a billionth of a billionth of a second.
