Piper is a penguin who has always dreamed of flying. He attempts to bring this dream to life with the help of his friend Winthrop the walrus. A series of failed test flights of self-designed machines makes him lose heart. When the entire village is endangered by the arrival of an orca, Piper tries to get his flying machine up into the air.
