Point Blank (1967) -- (Movie Clip) He Makes My Flesh Crawl Vengeful Walker (Lee Marvin), after his wife, who betrayed him along with his crime partner Reese, committed suicide, invades the San Francisco apartment of her sister Chris (Angie Dickinson, her first scene), who has also come under Reese’s influence, in John Boorman’s byzantine Point Blank, 1967.
Point Blank, although undoubtedly identifiable as an American gangster film, also has a very European appearance, particularly in its innovative use of a fragmented narrative structure. As Boorman began to gain recognition in Hollywood, he came to the attention of MGM , as well as Judd Bernard, a Hollywood press agent (who was to co-produce Point Blank with Bob Chartoff and Irwin Winkler).

1 ago 2016 · Point Blank’s dream logic is backed up by the film’s plot – a simple revenge story where Lee Marvin tears through his enemies, surviving death and getting the ladies. Whilst most pulpy B-Movies of the time just take that narrative material and deliver it straight, Point Blank takes it and in a post-modern fashion points at it and says “Hey, this really is an impossible male fantasy”.
