  3. Autistic character in Mrs. McGinty's dead. Let me preface this by saying I do not think Agatha Christie intended him to be autistic, or that he would have been autistic back in those days. Just that she may have based his traits on real life people with autistic traits when creating the character. I thought it was very interesting so I am sharing!

  5. 3 mag 2024 · 5/5: A "newer" Poirot, one I've never read. It features Ariadne Oliver, the celebrated mystery writer as a comic foil to Poirot. I've always assumed Mrs. Oliver was Christie satirizing herself and her friends. A good read with an interesting ending. If you've never read any Poirot stories with Ariadne, this would be a nice start.
