Prokopios Pavlopoulos ( Greek: Προκόπιος Παυλόπουλος, pronounced [proˈkopios pavˈlopulos]; born 10 July 1950), commonly shortened to Prokopis (Προκόπης), is a Greek retired politician, who served as the president of Greece from 2015 to 2020. A member of New Democracy, he previously was Minister of the Interior from 2004 to 2009.

6 nov 2021 · Pavlopoulos, who served as President of Greece from 2015 to 2020, was admitted to Alexandra Hospital in Athens as a precautionary measure after testing positive for the virus on Friday. His wife, Sissy Pavlopoulou, also tested positive for the virus. She is staying at home, and does not have serious symptoms.

Pavlopoulos was born in 1950 in Kalamata, Greece, where he finished his school studies. In 1968, he moved to the Greek capital to study at Athens University Law School.
