Proussos (in greco Προυσός?) è un ex comune della Grecia nella periferia della Grecia Centrale (unità periferica dell'Euritania) con 2.253 abitanti secondo i dati del censimento 2001. È stato soppresso a seguito della riforma amministrativa, detta Programma Callicrate, in vigore dal gennaio 2011 ed è ora compreso nel comune di Karpenisi.

It is not a well-known nor popular travel destination among International tourists. However, for Greeks, this is one of the most important monasteries in the entire country.
The two stone-built towers with crenels preserved above the Monastery, are called Karaiskakis’ Towers. The monastery has, among other things, guest-houses for visitors. The Monastery of Proussos or Panagia Proussiotissa is located 30 km from Karpenisi and is one of the largest pilgrimages in Central Greece.
