1 lug 2020 · Goalie Rainer Makatsch came in seventh with the West German ice hockey team at the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics as the winner of the consolation round. In total, he earned 53 international caps. Domestically, he played with Düsseldorfer EG, helping them to win West German titles in 1972 and 1975.
