Edward James Hughes OM OBE FRSL (17 August 1930 – 28 October 1998) was an English poet, translator, and children's writer. Critics frequently rank him as one of the best poets of his generation and one of the twentieth century's greatest writers.

Edward James Hughes, conosciuto come Ted Hughes (Mytholmroyd, 17 agosto 1930 – Londra, 28 ottobre 1998), è stato un poeta e scrittore inglese. Considerato uno dei migliori poeti della sua generazione, Hughes fu Poet Laureate in Inghilterra dal 1984 fino alla sua morte nel 1998.
