Reign of Fear is the second full-length album by the German heavy metal band Rage, and the first since their renaming from Avenger to Rage. It was released in 1986. The album was remastered by Noise / Sanctuary in 2002 with slightly altered cover art, and five bonus tracks.

Questo album ha un’importanza storica davvero notevole perché rappresenta il primo passo di una carriera sconfinata per una delle più importanti metal band tedesche tutt’ora in circolazione.

Come non detto, questa simpatica anamnesi se ne ritorna da dov'è venuta, lasciando spazio in Hand of Glory a veloci successioni di accordi che ricordano gli Accept, mentre nella ottima e più cadenzata Raw Energy si rintraccia più esplicitamente la somiglianza della voce di Wagner con quella di Jon Oliva.
