Rene Steinke. Rene Steinke is an American novelist. She is the author of three novels: The Fires (1999), Holy Skirts (2005), and Friendswood (2014). Holy Skirts, a novel based on the life of the Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, was a finalist for the 2005 National Book Award.
Steinke erhielt ein festes Angebot an der Berliner Volksbühne, wo er verschiedene Hauptrollen spielte. Im Jahr 1999 übernahm Steinke die Rolle des Kriminalhauptkommissars (KHK) Tom Kranich in der von RTL produzierten Actionserie Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei und wurde 2003 durch Christian Oliver als KK Jan Richter abgelöst.
