Richard Blum (born January 29, 1954), known by his stage name Handsome Dick Manitoba, is an American punk rock musician and radio personality. He was the singer of New York City-based band The Dictators from 1974 to 2008. With The Dictators, Manitoba sang on the albums The Dictators Go Girl Crazy!

Richard is a musician, most well known for being the lead singer (for most of 45 years) with the New York City legendary punk band, THE DICTATORS. MR. MANITOBA also spent 14 years (starting around 2004) on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, hosting “ The Handsome Dick Radio Program “, a national show, 5 nights a week on Little Steven’s Underground Garage.

Richard Manitoba, genannt „Handsome Dick“ Manitoba ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, Radiomoderator und Autor. Manitoba leitet seit 1999 einen Nachtclub in New York City. Als Sänger und Frontmann der Dictators zählt er zu den Veteranen des Punk.
Biografia. Inizialmente si fa conoscere con lo pseudonimo Manitoba. Con questo stage name pubblica due album, Start Breaking My Heart (2001) e Up in Flames (2003). Successivamente, in seguito a una minaccia di causa legale da parte di Richard Manitoba, cambia nome in Caribou. Nel 2005 ha pubblicato The Milk of Human Kindness ( Domino Records ).
History. In late 1986, former members of The Dictators, vocalist Richard Manitoba, bassist and songwriter Andy Shernoff, and guitarist Daniel Rey (Rabinowitz), producer for The Ramones, organized to form the band Wild Kingdom. The Dictators had disbanded in late 1978.
