Richenza of Northeim (c. 1087/1089 – 10 June 1141) was Duchess of Saxony from 1106, Queen of Germany from 1125 and Holy Roman Empress from 1133 as the wife of Lothair of Supplinburg.
22 apr 2017 · Richenza of Northeim (c. 1087/1089–June 10, 1141) was a member of the dynasty of the Counts of Northeim, and a German Empress. She was the daughter of Henry the Fat of Northeim (d. 1101) and Gertrud of Brunswick of the Brunonen dynasty.
Name variations: Richenza of Northeim. Born in 1095; died on June 10, 1141; daughter of Henry the Fat, duke of Saxony, and Gertrude of Meissen (d. 1117); married Lothair II (b. 1075), Holy Roman emperor (r. 1125–1137), around 1100; children: Gertrude of Saxony (1115–1143).
