Richmond Palace was a Tudor royal residence on the River Thames in England which stood in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Situated in what was then rural Surrey, it lay upstream and on the opposite bank from the Palace of Westminster, which was located nine miles (14 km) to the north-east.

12 feb 2023 · Richmond Palace era costruito in mattone rosso e bianco e con i camini decorati seguendo la moda di allora. Aveva lunghe gallerie per mettere l’arte, tipico del periodo rinascimentale e non era fortificato. Aveva anche finestre piuttosto grandi e luminose fatte con pannelli.

You can walk up to this impressive Tudor gatehouse built in 1501 by Henry VII. It started off as a substantial manor house in 1125 and became a royal manor house in 1327.
