Ironicamente, l’Uomo In Nero risorge con il suo Arcobaleno, dove sfoga le intuizioni che nei Purple venivano ormai cestinate.

15 ore fa · After the break-up, most of the members of Deep Purple went on to have considerable success in a number of other bands, including Rainbow (1975–1984, Ritchie Blackmore and, from 1979, Roger Glover), Whitesnake (1978–present, David Coverdale, Jon Lord until 1984 and Ian Paice during 1979 to 1982) and Gillan (1978–1982, Ian Gillan).

5 giorni fa · I was 13 and had mostly been listening to Top-50 radio. Made in Japan blew me away and is still my favourite Purple album. In 1981 and 82 I went to see Rainbow in Rotterdam and saw Ritchie in top form. After that, what little money I could get my hands on, went to albums of Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake and the likes.
Ritchie is definitely one of the all time greatest rock guitarists and was hugely influential to a whole generation of players that came after him. I don't know much about Rainbow other than what I hear on classic rock radio and I know nothing about Blackmore's Knight which seems as far away from hard rock as it gets.

Rainbow Rising, released in 1976 by Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, was a monumental album in progressive metal that was an inspiration for Judas Priest at that time.
