Welcome. I am delighted to join Robert Gordon's College as the new Head of College. Growing up in Aberdeenshire this is of special significance to me and seeing what the College means to the city and the shire. Robert Gordon's College is at the cutting edge of international education.
Robert Gordon's College is a co-educational independent school for day pupils in Aberdeen, Scotland. The school caters for pupils from Nursery through to S6 . History. Robert Gordon, an Aberdeen merchant, made his fortune in 18th century Poland trading from the Baltic port of Danzig, (Gdansk).

History of Gordon's. Robert Gordon was a merchant from Aberdeen who spent much of his life based in Poland. On retiring to Aberdeen, he decided to leave his considerable fortune to found a ‘Hospital’ for boys’ accommodation and education. The school was built on the site of the old Dominican (Black) Friars building.
Robert Gordon's College is an HMC and SCIS independent co-educational day school in the heart of Aberdeen, founded in 1750. The school educates around 1,500 girls and boys aged 3 - 18. Pupils benefit from opportunity and choice via curriculum breadth and a wide range of sports, clubs and societies.

About. Our History. Robert Gordon University's role in the community can be traced back nearly three and a half centuries to the birth of Aberdeen merchant and benefactor Robert Gordon in 1668.
