Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, Roger Bart moved with his family to Princeton, New Jersey at an early age. After graduating from Rutgers University in 1985, he was cast as Tom Sawyer in the touring company of "Big River." Two years later, Bart made his Broadway debut in the same show.
