The Royal College of Surgeons is an ancient college (a form of corporation) established in England to regulate the activity of surgeons. Derivative organisations survive in many present and former members of the Commonwealth.
In a landmark collaboration aimed at addressing the critical shortage of skilled surgical care in conflict and disaster zones, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) is teaming up with the David Nott Foundation (DNF) to later this year host their Hostile Environment Surgical Training UK (HEST-UK) course at the College in Edinburgh.
