Royal Military College, Sandhurst. The Royal Military College ( RMC ), founded in 1801 and established in 1802 at Great Marlow and High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, England, but moved in October 1812 to Sandhurst, Berkshire, was a British Army military academy for training infantry and cavalry officers of the British and Indian Armies.
Sandhurst has been the Royal Military Academy since its founding in 1812. There are several magnificent buildings -- the Old College in particular. The New College is also a nice building but unfortunately the more modern buildings are brutalist concrete pillar looking things. The ponds were dug by French POWs from Napoleonic times.
