L'album vede l'alternanza di brani strumentali, dove Lynch sfoga tutta la sua tecnica, a collaborazioni con grandi cantanti come Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen e i fratelli Matthew e Gunnar Nelson dei Nelson. Inizialmente doveva partecipare anche Don Dokken, il quale co-scrisse il brano We Don't Own This World, ma alla fine il progetto saltò.

Sacred Groove is a George Lynch album from 1993. It contains a diverse range of tracks from different styles of music, for example, the instrumental 'Tierra Del Fuego' has a significant Latin feel to it. There are four instrumentals and six songs on the US release. The Japanese release has an additional instrumental as well as a bluesy live track.

Nato a New York, Ray crebbe a Cliffside Park, nel New Jersey. Iniziò a cantare da ragazzo, ispirandosi a Bad Company, Deep Purple e Led Zeppelin . I primi gruppi in cui militò furono "Vendetta" e "Harlette". Nel 1985 entrò nei Terrified, gruppo del batterista Bobby Rondinelli, militando per un anno incidendo un disco che però uscì nel 1996.
Raymond Arthur Gillen (May 12, 1959 – December 1, 1993) was an American rock singer. He is best known for his work with Badlands , in addition to his stint with Black Sabbath in the mid-1980s and recording most of the vocals on Phenomena 's Dream Runner album.

6 dic 2005 · Segue “Flesh & Blood”, una canzone decisamente heavy e grintosa con un grande ritornello in mid tempo scandito dalla doppia cassa e che vede la partecipazione alla voce del fantastico, unico, fenomenale Ray Gillen(Badlands, Black Sabbath, ecc) la cui prestazione è, come sempre, da brivido.
