Subway Sect were one of the first British punk bands. Although their commercial success was limited by the small amount of recorded material they released, they have been credited as highly influential on the Postcard Records scene and the indie pop genre which followed.

10 ago 2021 · Subway Sect – ‘Lazy So And So’ from Sansend (2002) Sansend by Vic Godard VG: My mate Nick Brown got involved in a studio in Sands Ends [ an area on the Thames in London’s Fulham ] and could get studio time on a Sunday for nothing.
Biography. Born Victor John Napper in Mortlake, Surrey, Godard was raised in nearby Barnes, London. [3] In 1976, Godard formed Subway Sect with three other fans of the Sex Pistols at the suggestion of Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, who wanted another band for the line-up of the 100 Club Punk Festival.
