Leben. Savion Glover bekam bereits im Alter von vier Jahren Schlagzeugunterricht, mit sieben Jahren nahm er seine ersten Unterrichtsstunden in Stepptanz.Sein Debüt am Broadway hatte er mit zwölf Jahren als Hauptdarsteller der Show The Tap Dance Kid. 1989 hatte er seine erste Filmrolle in Tap Dance.
Glover believes his gift is to manifest language through tap. For his new show, he shares the story-telling with two actors and three musicians, evoking a narrative in which he is also a character “playing himself, playing Savion Glover.” It’s not the Savion Glover you expect; it’s the Savion Glover he’s ready to introduce.
