Shawn Corey Carter (born December 4, 1969), known by his stage name Jay-Z, is an American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. Known for his involvement in the success of other artists, he was named the greatest rapper of all time by Billboard and Vibe in 2023.
In 2013, Carter launched Roc Nation Sports, whose roster includes three-time NBA scoring champion and Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant and MLB All-Star Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano. Carter became co-owner in global streaming service, TIDAL, in 2015.
