Established in 1947, the Secondary School for Design and Photography, Ljubljana runs three educational programmes: Design (graphic design, industrial design and fashion design), Photography, and the Art Grammar School (comprising a classic grammar school syllabus with additional visual arts subjects on architecture, art history, etc).
The first secondary school of this type was established in 1958 as Secondary Textile School, today the Secondary School for Design and Photography, Ljubljana is quite popular among young people in Maribor, in the North Eastern region of Slovenia.
