Reg. N151JT North American P-51D-20-NA Mustang USAF serial 44-63577 (c/n 122-31303) then to Uruguayan AF on November 1949 as FAU265. Later to Uruguayan Air Force Museum in 1960. Returned to USA in 1985 and on US civil registry as N51TE until 2012.
Restored to flying condition with the colors of FF-943 serial 44-12943 North American F-51D-20-NT Mustang as used in Korea by USAF with the 18th Fighter-Bomber Group with the nickname "WAS THAT TOO FAST" (but the spinner and tail's top were yellow).
Subject of several model kits through decades (Airfix 1/72 A02047 or Tamiya 1/32 #60328 and 1/72 #60754 or Academy Minicraft 1/72 #1662 ...).
CGI from aircraft N151JT but missing to erased the civil registration (seen in the shadow of the horizontal stabilizer).
