Severn School is a private, coeducational college preparatory day school for students in preschool through grade twelve, located in Severna Park, MD.
Severn School was founded in 1914 by Roland M. Teel in Severna Park, Maryland, as a preparatory school for the United States Naval Academy. [1] In 2013, Severn School merged with nearby Chesapeake Academy. [1] Currently the school enrolls boys and girls from pre-school through grade 12.
At Severn, students learn to lead their way, while developing a lifelong love of learning. Our challenging but rewarding curriculum encourages students to find intellectual engagement in and out of the classroom, facilitating a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Severn School students are challenged to pursue excellence in character, conduct, and scholarship; to marshal the courage to lead, and to contribute to the world around them. We are forward-thinking and envision a world where education is about more than what you know - it's about who you are.
