Sex and the City è una serie televisiva statunitense, trasmessa originariamente dal canale HBO dal 1998 al 2004.. Ideata da Darren Star, già creatore di Beverly Hills 90210 e di Melrose Place, è basata sul romanzo omonimo di Candace Bushnell, una delle prime opere del genere chick lit (insieme a Il diario di Bridget Jones), e ha avuto un grande successo e una vasta eco internazionale.
