Shimmer is the second and final album by Surgery. It was released in 1994 through Atlantic Records. Due to the death of frontman Sean McDonnell nine months after the album's release, the band broke up.

12 giu 2015 · Surgery is a great band who had a knack for catchy songs that were heavy and dirty. This record is mostly that sound, in fact there's even a version of their classic jam "D-Nice" on here. I will say there are a couple songs that aren't too hot, but mostly, this is well worth your time. Especially if you ever liked Surgery in the first place.

Through Atlantic, the band released their second album Shimmer in 1994 with the intention of touring extensively to broaden their fan base. On January 7, 1995, McDonnell suffered a severe asthma attack and went into a comatose state. He was admitted to Brooklyn Hospital and died four days later.
