It was founded in 1552 by Edward VI by Royal Charter, to reconstitute the town's collegiate foundations of the 6th and 10th centuries which were disestablished in the reformation.

22 mar 2024 · March 22nd 2024. Academic Societies. Last weekend we were delighted to host the annual Shrewsbury School Model United Nations conference, ShrewsMUN VIII. The conference saw schools from across the country to discuss this year’s theme ‘Peace and Conflict’.
22 mar 2024 · Over the last couple of weeks, we have welcomed Elevate Education to address our Fifth Form and Upper Sixth pupils. The company specialises in preparing pupils for exams, and focused on strategies for self-motivation, time management and wellbeing in their interactive sessions.
Experiencing Diplomacy and Friendship at ShrewsMUN 2024. 13 students from Years 9 to 13 travelled to Shrewsbury School for the annual ShrewsMUN conference. The team included 10 delegates representing India and Yemen, as well as three students who had been invited to act as guest chairs.

Across both our senior and junior divisions, all 8 teams have showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship during both training sessions and competitive fixtures.
