12 lug 2022 · Single-Handed was filmed in the west of Ireland. If we talk precisely, the series was filmed at the Connemara. It was entirely shot at that location. The location was perfectly mingled with the storyline. Connemara is a beautiful place and is considered to be the best tourist spot in the country.
Single-Handed is an Irish television drama series, first broadcast on RTÉ Television in 2007. Set and filmed in the west of Ireland, it focuses on the life of a member of the Garda Síochána, Sergeant Jack Driscoll. Three two-episode, single-story series aired one each on consecutive nights in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Jack is suspended by Inspector O'Kane pending his investigation into the assault charges on his cousin Brian. Dennis puts the thumbscrews into Finbarr now that he is acting Sergeant but is Finbarr finally getting wise to Dennis's tricks. Meanwhile, Mairead O'Sullivan overdoses after she refuses to give her statement to anyone but Jack.
Mon, Jan 1, 2007. No sooner has Garda officer Jack Driscoll returned from Dublin to replace retiring copper dad Gerry in rural Connemara than he has to investigate the death of a young Balkan barmaid, who died of gas fumes inhalation in her trailer home. Jack finds evidence of foul play and learns that the girl was popular with the local menfolk.
6 nov 2018 · Too bad there is not more of these being made. They are really well acted. Though there is some violence involved, it is not shown all of the time. The male protagonist is fun to follow on his attempts to solve crimes which have many personal and private twists. Some of these twists you do not expect. This keeps the mystery alive in Single-Handed.
