  6. Saint Augustine’s College, Cairns – 1930. St Augustine’s College has played a prominent part in the life of Cairns since it was established by the Marist Brothers in 1930. The College, which originally included a boys’ primary school for students in Years 4 – 7 until 1986, is now a day and boarding secondary school for boys.
