Staffan de Mistura (Stoccolma, 25 gennaio 1947) è un diplomatico, politico e funzionario svedese naturalizzato italiano. È stato rappresentante speciale delle Nazioni Unite per l' Iraq dal 2007 al 2009, rappresentante speciale per l' Afghanistan nel 2010 e inviato speciale per la Siria dal 2014 al 2018.
Staffan de Mistura is a former Italian diplomat who has served as Special Envoy of the UN for Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Southern Lebanon, Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Vietnam and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. He succeeds Horst Köhler as the Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, where he will provide good offices to the parties and other stakeholders guided by Security Council resolution 2548 (2020).
